What happens if you DON'T take the Chance!

Are You afraid to put yourself out there or to ask?
Are you afraid to share your work?

Think about the people you are taking your impact away from!
Think about the possibilities that are being crushed because you were afraid!

For ME,

What if I never reached out to Mayse's family?
What if I never made the effort to visit when she was in the hospital?

I have been on this project for about 6 - 7 months now and I have made an impact on 4 families. I started off rough and made some mistakes or maybe just figuring the plan out. The current legs of the project were created in the last 3 months that has truly connected with those 4 families. And I keep thinking that this is only the beginning.

I am so thankful that I stepped up and reached out and I am going to continue to reach out to as many people as I can.

Don't be afraid to ask for help or opinions!
Don't be afraid to put yourself out there!
Don't be afraid to share your genius with the world!

Every Creative Adult is a Child who has survived or been rescued

Each and every one of us is born as a child and grows up. A beautiful mind that is loaded with creativity and an unlimited imagination. A magnificent world that has no walls or barriers. A world that is tied so strongly to their own heart that they use it every moment of the day to survive. This gift helps them grow and learn and lets them be themselves as they create their own version of the world.

Then something called life happens. This world, this society, the lost souls that inhabit it. We find ourselves surrounded as they try to chip away at our gifts and who we are. Some of us are not strong enough to hold onto our sense of wonder or some choose to give in. Some are tricked into feeling like they don't have a choice. The society and demons that inhabit it poke holes in our tanks and our essence leaks out. It leaks until the tank is almost empty and we lose ourselves to a machined clone made to fit into the society. The creativity is stripped so silently and skillfully that we don't notice the slow trickle that has been leaking for years.

Then by the chance of a strong emotionally force some of us re-discover what we have lost. We don't know how or why, but somewhere in our life we just seemed to change. We remember being fun and creative as a child and then it just seems you fast forwarded to a hardcore adult. The loss was so subtle that you cannot place a specific time or event. It just blew away little by little. Almost like you believed it was an hour glass and when your sand was gone it was gone for good.

I am here to help you re-discover your creativity. Don't let the demons of this world sink their claws into you! Don't let the beliefs of this society hold you down and force you into the conveyor belt of adulting!

Be yourself, create magnificent dreams inside of your mind and then go after them. Imagine dreams that are so out there that fantasy authors are blown away. Take your first step today and make the decision to take control of your imagination and find that inner child that was lost so long ago. He or She has been trapped in those deep caves all alone for so very long. Just sitting and waiting for you to find them and bring them back into the light. Jump in and rescue your inner child and reconnect with your creativity and true self.

I will be here to welcome you to the true world.

I attended the drawathon at DCAD this past saturday and here is what i got. There was a few models there to draw from and the gallery was open from 9 to 9. I started early and stayed until around 7. With this piece i started off with one model and as i moved around and the models shifted i started doing new faces incorporating them into the piece.

Monster mania con august 2009

Just got back from monster mania 2009. This year i had a booth to myself and overall had a great experience.

This is my original setup. It started this way on friday evening. By the end of the day and the weekend i put out a lot more masks covering the table.
Here are two of the newest masks i finished. The two aliens on the ends are my new favorite and i got a lot of good comments from people on them.

I got comments from being original with my designs. I spoke with Bob from fuckedupstuff.com, kreation x (pictured below), the guy in charge of the national haunters convention, guy in charge of monsterpalooza and a few others. I got my work out there and got some connections.

Here are some other interesting setups i saw this weekend.

Another sketch i completed while i was at the show, considering trying to make a t-shirt in the future.

This convention was great for me, i met some great people and did saw some people i already knew again. Here are a couple other artists i met with that i think do great work.

I am hoping to do more conventions soon i'll keep u updated.
